DISABLED people in the town will have more opportunities to get involved in sport after Sport Cheshire received £250,000 of funding from Sport England’s Inclusive Sport fund.
Funds will help to deliver the ‘Count Me In’ strategy and improve ‘quality and accessibility’ for those with impairments.
David Newton, Sport Cheshire chairman, said: “It means a great deal to local stakeholders as it provides invaluable funding to help us extend the opportunities for disabled children, young people and adults in the local area to get involved in sport.
“This success could not have been achieved without the support of partners, EFDS, CP Sport, Warrington Wolves Foundation and many more.”
