A TWO-YEAR-OLD has helped Warrington MoneyBox Shop reach a landmark.
Scarlett Houston, from Bank Quay, has become the 100th Warrington Credit Union member after the Warrington Market shop launched in October last year.
Mum Kelly signed her up for a junior account to encourage Scarlett to start saving money from an early age.
Credit unions are not for profit organisations which offer savings, affordable loans and access to money advice for their members as an alternative to banks and other lenders.
Barry Taylor, chairman of Warrington MoneyBox said: “Credit Union membership is for everyone, but we particularly enjoy opening Junior Accounts and helping young people lay down foundations that will help them throughout the rest of their lives.”
