TWO Warrington Hospital nurses have been suspended after their children’s nanny was found beheaded in the Philippines.

A spokesman confirmed Dennis Samson, nursing assistant, and Girlie Samson, staff nurse, will not be in work while the case is investigated.

National reports have claimed nanny Maribel Alpas, aged 31, cared for the pair’s two young children in Warrington for two years.

But during a trip home to see her family in the Philippines, the nanny went missing and on March 25 her severed head was found in a canal.

Police chiefs have said the last time Miss Alpas' family heard from her was a text to say she was picking up documents from Mr Samson’s home in the Far East and someone was picking her up at the bus station.

Authorities in the Philippines say they want to speak to the Samsons following the death.

A spokesman for Warrington Hospital said: “The trust has not been made formally aware of any charges being brought against any member of our staff in relation to an incident in the Philippines and we are currently seeking information from the authorities about the case.”
