Kerry Katona reveals her labour trauma

Kerry Katona has spoken of the traumatic birth of her fifth child after the baby's heart stopped just moments after the delivery.

The former Atomic Kitten star from Padgate revealed there were also fears for her own life when she suffered heavy blood loss after daughter Dylan-Jorge Rose was born earlier this month.

In an interview with this week's OK! magazine, she said: "I thought, this is it, we're both going to die."

Kerry experienced contractions 10 days before the due date, but her complications did not become apparent until the baby was lying on her chest and she said she had a "weird sensation that something wasn't right".

"Ten minutes after giving birth she was on my chest and she collapsed. She stopped breathing and her heart stopped," the former chart star said.

The baby was taken to intensive care and revived after what Kerry's partner George Kay estimated to be around eight minutes without breathing.

Meanwhile, the singer began experiencing troubles of her own.

"I was losing loads and loads of blood because the placenta didn't come out and it burst inside me. I was in shock.

"In a split second we went from tears of joy, and holding our baby, to chaos," she added.

However staff at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital managed to bring both of them back from the brink.

George told the magazine: "In 12 hours Dylan went from death's door to a perfectly healthy baby."

After having 4 kids already I would imagine she could spit them out like OK magazine spit out her pathetic stories. Would be like throwing a sausage in the Mersey Tunnel. Another cheque banked, well done KK your daughter is well on the way to making you a million which will no doubt mean another bankruptcy. I await the next revelation with anticipation.

glad the little one is ok. not his fault his mum is a media tramp who sells every small thing to the papers and mags for money.. our child was born 2 months early with various compilations but we never searched for false sympathy. all I can say is to help you avoid anymore labour trauma is to keep them legs shut.. glad the little one is healthy.
