MEET the fan carrying the entire Warrington Wolves squad on her back.

Season ticket holder Amanda Atkin has been showing off her latest tattoo featuring every players’ autograph and said she will not stop getting them until her body is filled up.

Her latest addition to her collection of 42 inkings marks the day the 40-year-old and her husband Danny, who has suffered a number of health problems recently, met the squad.

Amanda, who is a fulltime carer for her husband of eight years, said: “Danny has been a life-long fan so we wanted to mark the day.

“I suggested I was just going to get my favourite player Richie Myler on my back but then my husband said why not get the whole team so that’s what I’ve done.

“Richie Myler said he thought it was brilliant and lots of people have said they thought it was cool.”

The design on her back took two-and-half hours to complete after neat copies of each players’ autograph had been collected for what Amanda said was a painless experience.

The only two missing are loan players Kevin Penny and Chris Riley but the couple hope to get them soon to complete the tattoo.

According to Amanda, who also has the Warrington Wolves shield etched on her leg, there is also plenty of room to add any new signings to her back.

The north stand fan, who lives in Northwich, added: “I had always wanted one for quite a long time so when I was aged 29 I decided to get a tattoo on the bottom of my back and said if it hurt I would never have another one again.

“But it didn’t so here I am!

“Once one heals I’m on to the next one and start looking for designs I like and then when my mind is made up I have got to have it done.”

She added all her tattoos have meanings and she is already planning her next one featuring a lilly around her stomach.

Matty Russell said he was impressed with Amanda’s efforts particularly as his one World Cup Scotland squad tattoo on his foot ‘hurt really bad’.

He added: “It’s great to meet Amanda and great for the club.”
