A READER is appealing for help after her daughter's cat went missing in Great Sankey.

The 11-month-old, black and white cat with short / semi long fur and a fluffy black tail went missing from the garden of her home on Elmsett Close on April 3 and was described as 'very friendly and loving'.

The reader added: "Both my son and daughter saved up last year to purchase a cat each after our previous cat of 16 years had passed away.

"They purchased the cats from the St Helens Cats protection league in September last year.

"Over the past week my daughter has spent most of her time printing fliers off that we have posted through neighbours doors and random streets within the Great Sankey area - approx. 500 posted in the hope that someone recognises her."

Anyone who can help should call 07462 178401.
