A MOTORCYCLIST seriously injured in a crash on Poplars Avenue has died.
The 25-year-old, named locally as Michael Murray, was injured in the crash on Wednesday at 6pm.
He had been in intensive care at Aintree Hospital since but lost his fight for life on Friday.
He had been riding an Aprilia motorbike when the collision happened with a black Ford Focus, close to the junction with Martin Avenue.
Police are investigating.
