WARRINGTON Town is launching a competition to create a new club logo which will take pride of place on next season’s first team shirt.

The club, which currently has the town’s coat of arms as its badge, is offering a free reign on design and will use the chosen design as the club’s new brand as part of their 2020 vision to try and deliver a Football League team to the town.

Club managing director Toby Macormac said: “The current club badge has served us well. We are a modern progressive, ambitious club and we are always looking at ways to take the club forward and this competition that will embrace the community is one of the many ideas.

“The current club logo will be considered as an entry within this competition.

“The winning entry will take pride of place on the club shirts and all our associated literature and website.

“We are giving free reign on design and will be looking for something which best fits our vision.”

The lucky winner will be presented with a Vice President Package worth £500 for next season, along with a replica first team shirt, an England shirt signed by three footballing legends and £100 cash.

The club is opening the competition to anyone who lives in Warrington and the club will also be working alongside their community partners at Warrington Collegiate, Priestley College and Golden Gates Housing Trust to find the winning design.

Closing date for the competition is June 20 and design ideas should be emailed to admin@warringtontownfc.co.uk or posted to WTFC PO BOX 1159, Warrington, Cheshire, WA4 9LG
