A TAKEAWAY on Orford Lane has been awarded a rating of four by food hygiene inspectors.
Chicken Village was given the second highest grade available to inspectors, who rate food establishments on how hygienically the food is handled, its hygiene records and the condition of building.
Co-owner Saeed Molvi, who has been in the fast food trading business for many years, said: “A lot of money has been put in to improving the premises.
“All staff have been trained for months, and have attended health and safety courses and in-house customer service training.”
Mr Saeed said any customers, who had concerns about the takeaway’s hygiene, could come and see how the food is prepared.
