A 24-YEAR-OLD has denied two counts of supplying drugs following an arrest in Orford.

Kane Murphy, aged 24, from Liverpool pleaded not guilty to two counts - possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin.

Alison Warburton, prosecuting at Halton Magistrates Court on Thursday, said he was arrested by plain clothes officers investigating drug activity in area.

She said he came to Warrington to buy drugs and admits possession but not supply.

However the prosecution rejects that argument and says there is evidence of street dealing.

Gary Heaven, defending, said police are basing the charge on 'informed educated presumption'.

He will next appear at Chester Crown on August 4.
