A FAMILY-RUN garage has risen from the ashes after a blaze destroyed their premises in 2011.
John Oates Garage Ltd re-opened on Marsh House Lane after securing £186,000 from NatWest bank.
After establishing the business in 2004, John and his wife Shirley said they were devastated when flames tore through the garage but have now been able to purchase land at the rear of the garage for additional parking and other expansion options.
John said: “We are a small family run garage that has kept growing and growing and are committed to providing an excellent standard of services.
“The fire was terrible and Cheryl Mills (Natwest relationship manager) was extremely supportive helping us rebuild the garage to make it bigger and better.”
John and Shirley now hope to increase staff numbers and create apprenticeship opportunities.
