POLICE are investigating after a Longford shop was raided and cash stolen from the till.

A man dressed in dark clothing and with a scarf over his face stole the money from Bargain Booze on Gough Avenue.

Police say he entered the store, broke into the till, and escaped through an upstairs window.

He wore a black hooded jacket, grey trousers and black gloves.

The incident happened at 10.15pm on Thursday.

Anyone with information can call Warrington CID on 101 quoting incident number 988 of April 3.
