A TEENAGER was assaulted as he walked towards the subway opposite St Gregory’s High School on Wednesday.
The 16-year-old was by approached by three youths at 6.45pm with one of them grabbing the teen.
The victim received a small puncture wound to the face, which is believed to have been caused by a blade, and was later treated at Warrington Hospital.
Sgt Andy Evison said: “I’d like to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident and a 16-year-old boy has been arrested in relation to this.”
Cheshire Police is urging anyone with information to come forward.
