A MAN, who went on a crime spree stealing Blu-ray DVDs costing more than £100 from WHSmith, has been sentenced to 12 weeks in prison.
Daniel Smith, aged 21, of no fixed abode, was arrested by police in the toilets of the Barley Mow Public House on March 20 after a member of Golden Square staff spotted him.
He had been caught on CCTV stealing the collection of DVDs on March 16 and March 18.
The CCTV still had been distributed to staff at the Golden Square Shopping Centre by police following the incident.
