A STREET dance crew have proved they have what it takes to make it to the top.
IndepenDANCE dance team, comprising of dancers, aged seven to 50, entered the UKCA National Championships at the Velodrome in Manchester, winning first place in two of the categories to become national champions.
The group of dancers also picked up two second place medal and one third place.
Following their success, three of the groups are now in training to represent the UK in the European championship finals in Manchester in July with the help of coaches Jennifer Gittins and Emily McCurrie.
Miss Gittins said: βIt was a very challenging competition and they faced tough opposition from all over the UK. We are now looking for more people to join the team.β
