A FULL review of primary care services in the Great Sankey area will take place following the sudden closure of Sankey Medical Centre.
The chief executive of neighbouring pharmacy Medicx said NHS chiefs confirmed to him they had no intention of re-opening the practice but there would be a consultation process with all stakeholders.
Councillors announced earlier this month a £4m investment to transform Great Sankey Leisure Centre would include GP services but it is not expected to open until mid 2016.
It is thought the consultation process of the review will begin in the next two to three months and Medicx boss Steve Jeffers is calling on patients to have their say.
He added: “It is going to take a huge public response to ensure NHS England take the views of our patients into account.
“The Medicx Pharmacy team at the Barrow Hall Lane pharmacy are doing a great job and continue to offer a collection and delivery service for the prescriptions of all Great Sankey patients no matter where their doctors are located in Warrington.”
