A SHOE store in Penketh has announced the launch of the world’s lightest ever footwear range, the 'Invisible Shoe'.

Comprised of the world’s most breathable material, Wynsors’ new range claims to incorporate 'revolutionary seamless design technology offering the sensation that you are in fact wearing no shoes at all'.

A spokesman added: "The Invisible Shoe is arguably the most versatile new footwear product to hit shelves this year and can be effortlessly matched with any colour scheme or style to fit perfectly with your spring/summer wardrobe.

"Aimed at all ages the Invisible Shoe is expected to compete directly with flip-flops and sandals for the spring/summer market.

"While pre-launch focus groups have shown a high level of interest from women desperate for an end-of-night substitute for painful high heels."

The new range is available online from today, Tuesday, with all proceeds going to cancer charity Macmillan.

Sebastian Farrell from Macmillan added: “We’re proud to partner with Wynsors on such an innovative product that could revolutionise the footwear industry – no one has seen this type of shoe before.

“I personally love the Invisible Shoe and can’t bring myself to take them off.

"I even wear mine to bed!”

To mark the launch, Wynsors is holding a Twitter competition calling on customers to share photos of them modelling the new range using the #InvisibleShoes for a chance to win £50 voucher to spend online or in store.
