MENTAL health chiefs have been raising a cup to good health during nutrition and hydration week.
Members of the senior management team pushed tea trolleys on to wards across 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust serving afternoon tea and handing out beverages to help keep patients hydrated.
In Warrington, the trust’s chief executive Simon Barber served tea to teenagers with mental ill-health on Fairhaven Young People’s Unit, located on Birch Avenue in Winwick.
He said: “It’s especially important that people who are unwell have the fluids and nutrition they need to look after their physical and mental wellbeing and to help them to recover.”
At Hollins Park, the trust’s headquarters, staff and patients enjoyed tea and cake or healthier alternatives including fruit.
