AN Indian restaurant in Orford has been awarded the highest grade available to hygiene officers following a visit last week.

Lalkilla on Orford Lane has jumped from a hygiene rating of one to a five after inspectors regraded the eatery.

Owner Arzu Mere said he was delighted by the news and from tomorrow, April 3, the shop will be offering customers a deal to celebrate for the next 30 days.

Mr Mere said: “As we have been here for 30 years, we want to celebrate by offering both old and new customers a deal of buy one get one half price on all main meals.”
