LAST month we asked you who is your favourite Warringtonian of all time and so many readers got in touch we have compiled an alternative top 10 list.
Dead or alive, famous or not, we wanted to know who you thought are the people who have helped make Warrington great.

1.Tim Curry
Depending on your age you may know him best for his role in Muppet Treasure Island but aside from being friends with Kermit and Miss Piggy, the Grappenhall man is also a much-loved actor.
2. Roger Hunt
This World Cup winner ensured the Jules Rimet was gleaming in Warrington
3. Colin Parry
There were some heart-felt votes for the father of Warrington bombing victim Tim after creating a lasting legacy in the town for his son and Johnathan Ball through the Peace Centre
4. Pete McCarthy
The comedian and actor was honoured with a plaque on the wall of the Pyramid Arts Centre.
5. Captain Edward John Smith
After marrying in Winwick, the naval officer was famously known for being the captain of the Titanic
6. Warren Brown
He’s been top of the cops with starring roles in crime dramas Luther and By Any Means. Surely it can’t be long until the Great Sankey-born actor is arresting the attention of Hollywood too.
7. Ossie Clark
He may have won awards as a youngster for his vocal abilities at St Oswald's church in Winwick but the fashion designer is best known for his work (including the dress pictured below) during the swinging sixties
8. Steve Donoghue
The legendary flat race horse jockey won many of your votes by a nose
9. William Norman
This Warrington soldier was the recipient of the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry; the Victoria Cross
10. Curtis Jobling
Can he fix it? If putting the Penketh man’s famous design Bob the Builder or Raa Raa the Noisy Lion (pictured) on the TV for grumpy youngsters is the solution then yes, he can
