A TEENAGER from Glasgow has admitted travelling to Warrington to sell pills at Creamfields.

Liam Kenneth Packer, aged 19, pleaded guilty to an attempt to possess MDMA with intent on Friday at Halton Magistrates Court.

It heard how Packer was at the dance music festival in Daresbury over August bank holiday weekend last year.

Alison Warburton, prosecuting, said the defendant was seen by police selling pills in the camping area.

He was taken to a search facility and admitted having a pouch in his shorts where 26 white tablets were concealed.

The court heard they were later found to not contain a controlled substance, but Packer had been selling them under the impression they were ecstasy.

During a police interview, Packer claimed he was planning to divide the pills up with friends after paying £100 for them.

They would have had a street value at the festival of between £260 and £520, if sold as ecstasy, the court heard.

The hearing was adjourned as there was dispute over where Packer was a 'social' dealer, or 'street dealer'.
