A MULTI-MILLION pound refurbishment of Bewsey Lodge Primary School has been completed.
The £3.8million project began in October 2012 to replace the accommodation in the school, on Lodge Lane in Bewsey and Whitecross, which was in a poor condition, with new classrooms and a community space and nursery.
The original grand hall and main entrance have been retained and refurbished.
The grounds have also been redeveloped to create a ball games area, a pirate ship adventure play and a forest school area.
Emma Wright, head teacher, said: “It has been a long wait but the children, staff and governors are thrilled with their new school. Bright, modern classrooms and play areas combined with state-of-the-art resources make Bewsey Lodge Primary an exciting place to teach and learn.”
