CHESHIRE Down’s Syndrome Support Group is calling on residents to help them hold 21 challenges in three days to mark the national charity’s annual awareness day on Friday.
So far volunteers have pledged activities including eating 21 cakes in three minutes or popping 21 balloons in three minutes without a pin.
Julie Duff, organiser and volunteer at the charity, said: “21st March is a really special date for us as it represents three copies of chromosome 21 which is unique to people with Down Syndrome.
“We are halfway to reaching our target of 21 challenges and we would love people to get in touch with wacky ideas and activities that could involve our theme ‘Lots of socks’ even if it’s simply hanging a pair of different socks out of your car windows on Friday.”
Asda Warrington will be dressing down on the day while Boutique Hoco in the Old Market Square will be hosting a competition to win our mascot bear Rocky.
