THE Mayor of Warrington Clr Peter Carey welcomed the region’s older people’s champions to the Life Time Centre on Thursday ahead of a meeting to discuss issues surrounding the older generation.

The North West Older People’s Champions are elected councillors from throughout the region, who represent the views of older people and make sure their interests are properly taken into account.

Does "..make sure their interests are properly taken into account...." include making sure that they continue to receive non-means tested benefits, regardless of how comfortably off they are?
