THE owners of BaaMoo say they will open the doors to the kitchen to anyone who has doubts as to the cleanliness of the cooking area.
The invitation follows a report by the Warrington Guardian which revealed that the restaurant on Grappenhall Road in Stockton Heath had been handed a zero rating in January.
A spokesman said: “I would like to assure all of our regular diners and prospective customers that the rating we received was absolutely nothing to do with the cleanliness of the kitchen.
“Any person who has doubts surrounding this is more than welcome to come and view the kitchen for themselves.”
Owners say the low rating was linked to structural issues including a missing handrail on the entrance stairs, missing lino flooring upon entrance to the kitchen and equipment needed to be rearranged for staff safety.
The spokesman added: “We immediately set to fixing everything that was highlighted and are currently awaiting a re-visit to re-rate the restaurant.
“The other issue we faced was the paperwork records.
“On the day that the officer visited us, the paperwork was all being updated as a new head chef had taken over and was putting new systems in place.”
