THREE cars were involved in a crash on Lovely Lane this morning, a short distance from where mum-of-four Donna Davies was knocked down and killed.

Police say they were called to the incident at 6.59am today, Thursday, at the junction with Collin Street, close to Warrington Hospital.

A Peugeot 206, Ford Fiesta and Toyota Auris were all involved, according to officers.

The North West Ambulance Service said two people were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

One person was taken to Warrington Hospital for further treatment, it added.

The incident happened close to where Mrs Davies was fatally hit by an Audi A4 on April 25, last year.
