RESIDENTS in Warrington are being urged to to clear out their closests this spring and donate to British Heart Foundation shops after a survey found 80 per cent of people in the north west are ‘self-confessed hoarders’.
Research found households stash away on average 31 unwanted household items worth £524 with the most commonly hoarded items including Now CDs, bread makers, Furbies and roller blades.
The charity offers a free collection service for unwanted items and all donations will help the cause continue life-saving research into heart disease.
