PLANS for three chimney stacks at the Arpley landfill site will be discussed at a development management committee meeting tomorrow, Thursday.
Residents have been fighting a 12 and five year extension to the Sankey Bridges site but the latest proposal for the ‘gas utilisation compound’ has been described as ‘totally seperate’ from the landfill site.
Plans include a 25 metre stack being removed and replaced with three 23 metre chimneys.
The application has been recommended for approval despite 67 objections from residents with complaints over air quality, the length of the application until 2034 and the fact Arpley could be closed if an appeal is ruled against the tip owners.
The meeting will be held at 6.30pm in the Town Hall.
