AN Irish jig will be replaced with a mammoth walk for a St Patrick’s Day based challenge as fundraisers look to walk from Warrington to Dublin.
But they will not have to worry about walking on water as they will be doing it all from the comfort of a treadmill.
The event will see people from the Fairfield and Howley community tackle the 153 mile trip.
Setting on Friday they will arrive in Dublin on Saturday to celebrate St Patrick’s Day at the Ring O’Bells, on Church Street with traditional Irish food and music.
Donations for the fundraising will go to The Friends of St Elphin’s Park and St Rocco’s Hospice.
The Friends of St Elphin Park are attempting to improve the facilities in the park and are planning a tea shop in the bowling pavilion and enhancing the toilet facilities.
