DAVID Mowat MP has welcomed figures showing the success of the Government’s schemes to help people buy their own home.
In Warrington 63 loans have been approved since April last year through the Help to Buy: Equity loan, Right to Buy and other schemes.
The Warrington South MP said: “Just across the road from my office, new houses are being built which young families will be able to afford because of Help to Buy.
“Too many young couples are getting caught in the trap of having to spend such exorbitant amounts on rent that they cannot afford to save for a deposit on a home of their own.
“Our long-term economic plan is getting Britain building again and helping hardworking people to achieve their dream of owning their own home, where they can feel secure enabling them to plan for their future, raise a family and contribute to their communities.”
