SKI boots and a bag filled with costume jewellery are items which have been found on the Transpennine Trail.

Cheshire Police believe the items may have been taken after a number of garage and sheds have been broken into in the south Warrington area over the past weeks.

The items were all found on Saturday morning between Grappenhall and Thelwall and officers are trying to trace the owners as the items are not on police property records.

The ski boots are black and red and came in a Salomon bag while the jewellery was found in a pink Casa di Borse handbag.
