Bomb squad called to gas cylinder found in Higher Walton
THE bomb squad was called to Warrington this afternoon after a gas cylinder was found.
Police say they were told of a modified propane gas cylinder found on Bellhouse Lane, Higher Walton close to Moore village earlier this afternoon.
A cordon was set up in the area and specialists were called to examine the area and dispose of the item.
A controlled explosion was carried out around 5pm and police say the device was found to be inert and not dangerous.
