TWO churches have become one as St Ann’s and Holy Trinity come together.

For the past six years the churches have shared a priest and now the Rev Steve Parish has become vicar to both in the “united benefice” of Holy Trinity and St Ann, Warrington.

Mr Parish said: “This confirms officially the way we’ve been working recently, and the two churches will be looking to do more things together – though we also work with different groups of churches in Orford and the town centre”.

The new arrangements came into force when local ministers the Rev Caroline Batey and the Rev Pam Lovatt resigned their separate licences and were relicensed to the new benefice.
