Warrington Guardian: Warrington Young Labour impress at conference Warrington Young Labour impress at conference

WARRINGTON Young Labour was named 'Best New Young Labour Group' at a youth conference for the party in Bradford.

Forming the largest delegation at the conference, members of the local Labour youth wing engaged in policy forums, liberation caucuses, speech writing workshops and debates throughout the event, held last weekend.

Tom Jennings, chair of Warrington Young Labour and Borough Candidate for Grappenhall and Thelwall Ward in the May elections, said: "Youth Conference is the highlight of the Young Labour calendar, and we're extremely delighted to have our efforts recognised at a national level."

Let's hope that Mr Jennings behaved himself at the conference - he has previous for being disruptive.

I seem to remember the statement from the local labour party saying that they had no affiliation with Tom Jennings or Young labour after he convinced a couple of kids to have their photograph taken in the paper wearing Cameron masks. I think Tom Jennings then wrote to the newspaper saying he was saddened by the response from the party and next thing... he's a councillor! Obviously told to keep his nose clean and mouth closed in return for Grappenhall. I think the voice of youth should be irreverent where needed but Jennings has been assimilated. Kids..check out clr Bennett.. He's nobody's puppet..A dude with principles who isn't afraid of sticking it to the man. Word
