Firefighters rescue man from trapped vehicle following crash in Birchwood

ONE person was rushed to hospital following a crash on Daten Avenue in Birchwood today.

Two fire engines and four ambulances and an air ambulance attended the scene following the incident at around 7.20am.

Crews were called to the scene after a collision involving a lorry and a car, which left one person trapped.

The casualty was freed by the fire service and was taken to Warrington Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
