MEN in Westbrook are beginning to outlive women, according to a Public Health England report.
It has been revealed that men in the area have a greater life expectancy than women by almost four years. And the figure is so high, that the area features in the top 10 in the country for the biggest age gaps.
The top three areas for men outliving women are Bewbush and Broadfield in West Sussex, Ladbroke Grove East in London and Sloane Street in London.
Westbrook was listed in seventh place with men expected to reach the age of 87 and a half and women predicted to live until they are 83.7.
Experts believe men are closing the gap on women as they have become more health-conscious over the years.
