STAFF at the Warrington Youth Club said farewell to the first wave of young people on Monday, who set off on an adventure in North Wales as part of the National Citizen Service programme.

The youngsters, aged 16 and 17, will take part in activities, such as canoeing, bush craft and raft building, designed to develop their communication skills, team building and confidence.

The group will then return home to Warrington, where they will spend their days working in teams learning skills such as fundraising, marketing and building their knowledge of the town to help them develop a community project to be delivered over 30 hours this month.
