BATHING in beans is a messy job but friends Ellie Stirton and Phoebe Read stepped up to the bath to raise money for Cancer Research.
Ellie, aged 14, from Kingswood, and Phoebe, aged 15, from Chapelford, took a dip in the bath filled with beans at Asda Birchwood - much to shoppers’ amusement.
Olivia Wishart, from Great Sankey, and Oliver Read, from Chapelford, were also on hand to collect donations, helping the double act raise more than £500.
It was all smiles when the friends raised £277 which can be added to £250 in donations and sponsors, which Ellie and Phoebe have already collected.
