A LORRY driver has appeared in court this morning charged with murder after a man's body was found in Warrington on Saturday.
The body of Trevor Keith Allen, aged 56, from Swinton, was found lying on Manchester Road in Rixton at around 8.15am.
He was declared dead at the scene, with a car found nearby by police.
Mark Slater, aged 46, of Hillside Avenue, Manchester, appeared at Halton Magistrates Court via video link this morning but entered no plea.
He is next due to appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday.
