A SENIOR member of the town’s health body Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has been quizzed by cops in Salford after being accused of hacking into an e-mail account.
Chief finance officer Stephen Sutcliffe was interviewed under caution in December over the allegations which are contrary to the Computer Misuse Act.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman confirmed he had not been arrested.
It is thought Mr Sutcliffe was forwarding information from intercepted e-mails to a third party and was caught out when the other person mistakenly replied to one of the e-mails.
A Warrington CCG spokesman said: “‘This issue has been brought to the attention of the CCG and we are currently looking into the allegation.”
