A LYMM man wanted for a ‘brutal and sadistic’ murder is one of Spain’s 10 most wanted criminals.

Chris Guest More Jr, aged 36, fled to the country following the shocking torture and murder of Brian Waters in June 2003.

Mr Waters, a father-of-two, was tied to a beam, systematically beaten and tortured, with acid poured on him, at Burnt House Farm, near Knutsford.

He suffered 123 injuries and 23 fractures, dying after blows from a metal bar ruptured his internal organs.

Gang members Otis Matthews of Stretford, Greater Manchester, James Stuart Raven, of Radcliffe, near Bolton, and 54-year-old John Wilson of Glossop, Derbyshire, were found guilty of his murder in December 2004.

But More Jr, of Burford Lane, escaped 36 hours after the savage attack took place and has not been seen since.

In October 2011, More Jr was put on the top 10 most wanted list by Crimestoppers and the Serious Organised Crime Agency as part of Operation Captura.

More Jr was named by the Spanish Civil Guard as one of the 10 most wanted and included a description of him as 6ft tall, has a scar on his forehead, a shaved head and is of slim build.
