A SIGNING choir from the town have landed a gig with rock legend Mike Rutherford.


Warrington British Sign Language Signing Choir will step on stage with the musician at the Parr Hall on Sunday, February 23.


The choir are to sign along with Mike and the Mechanics as part of the band’s 25th anniversary tour – The Living Years.


Choir member Jeanette Hughes, who organised the show, said: “It is amazing to raise deaf awareness and sign with the band for their tour.


“For the choir to be signing to the incredible lyrics of Living Years is wonderful.”


The man with the responsibility of choir lead on the evening will be David Housley.


Last October the choir signed at the Manchester Arena with rock idol Peter Gabriel in front of 23,000 people.
