HELEN Jones MP got creative to help mark National Libraries Day.

The Warrington North MP dropped in at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub on Saturday and turned her hand a bookmark designing as part of events encouraging people to support their libraries.

LiveWire encouraged people in the town to visit their library and find out about the books on offer.

Ms Jones said: “This was a great opportunity for me to speak to children about not only the importance of reading but how much fun it can be as well.

“The children had a great time making bookmarks and it was a pleasure talking to them all about what their favourite books are.

" Every parent and carer knows how important is if for children of all ages to enjoy reading. Orford Park Library in the Jubilee Hub is an ideal, modern facility that allows children to discover many new books, as well as enjoying the classics.

“I would also like to praise the library staff. They do a great job in interacting with children, helping them make the most of the library.”
