STUDENTS at the Warrington Collegiate showed their support for the British Heart Foundation when they painted the school red for Ramp up the Red Day.
A week of activities was organised at the college on Winwick Road to raise awareness and vital funds for the UK's number one heart charity.
Gerri Capper, lecturer in Access to Higher Education for Social work, said: “The heart is only the size of your fist, yet every day it beats about 100,000 times, pumping 23,000 litres of blood around your body.
“A healthy heart is vital to life. This project is a great way of raising funds for the British Heart Foundation while spreading the word about how to maintain a healthy heart.”
