BUDDING artists from high schools in Warrington stepped up to the drawing board to take part in the Warrington Art Competition.
The year 10 pupils from Lymm High School, Bridgewater High School, University Academy Warrington and Cardinal Newman Catholic High School were asked to base their artwork on the theme of opposites.
The pieces of art were displayed at the The Gallery at Bank Quay House, which was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Warrington Ted Finnegan, who selected Maddie Lumley, from Lymm High School, as the winner.
The exhibition, which was organised by education recruitment specialists Academics, was heralded as a success with plans for the competition to become an annual event.
