A RUGBY club was just one of a number of community projects to benefit from funding from a housing trust.

Golden Gates Housing Trust handed Bank Quay Bulls £1,520 to help pay for new kits and expanding their under 16s and 18s teams.

The funding came from the housing trust’s Heart of the Community Fund which also helped a range of community groups across the borough in 2013.

Dallam & District Community Angling Group also received £1,000 towards fishing equipment, Angels Dance Academy also picked up £1,000 for new kit and a series of £500 donations to luncheon clubs, jobs clubs and family projects.

With help of its partners Total Glass, Sure Group, Omega Access North West, Forrest, Keepmoat and AG Painting, the fund welcomes funding applications from local groups and organisations that make a difference in communities in Bewsey, Dallam and Longford.
