A TOWN Hall meeting to scrutinise how a £1.2m ecology park has been allowed to fall into disrepair has been postponed.

Warrington Borough Council’s scrutiny committee was due to meet last Tuesday to discuss the deal for, and management of, Woolston Ecology Park.

Poulton with Fearnhead Parish Council, which called for the review, said the meeting was put off while a wrangle over what paperwork is made available to the committee is resolved.

It is now due to take place on March 19 PWFPC and Woolston Parish Council have agreed to allow their relevant paperwork to be viewed.

The meeting will focus on the state of grass, trees and paths in the ecology park.

Warrington Borough Council developed it with money from the North West Development Agency, and Government’s Waste Resources Action Programme, in 2010.
