Warrington Guardian: Meet Disney star at Toys R Us Meet Disney star at Toys R Us

LUCKY youngsters can meet their favourite characters from Disney show Doc McStuffins after Warrington has been chosen as the only destination in the north west for the TV programme’s UK tour.

Children can step into the world of ‘Doc’s check-up clinic’ during the free event on Tuesday from 11am to 5pm at Toys ‘R’ Us, Europa Boulevard, and dress up in a doctor’s tunic with their very own stethoscope and clipboard in preparation for their training.

Doc fans will then meet their patient, Big Ted, hear about his symptoms and learn how to help make Ted feel better by diagnosing the problem and giving a recommended treatment.

Certificates and giveaways will be handed out after the event.

Doc McScammin says...

What a Con this is!! Arrived at 12 to be given a ticket to come back at 1 due to the popularity of the event. We took our 4 year old out of nursery for the day and told her she was going to meet Doc Mcstuffin, I took a day off work - only to find out that no characters from the show would be present! This is not the problem of the very rude manager of Toys r Us who stated that he is not responsible for people inferring from articles such as this that the event had something to do with Doc Mcstuffin. Despite his claim that no-one else was confused, the rumblings from the queue said otherwise. I wonder if the journalist who wrote this article thought the same as we did? Maybe some of the children did enjoy the 'craft activities' and the 'check-up' administered by some strange men in white coats, but it was not the reason so many parents made the journey in the first place! Shame on Toys r Us and shame on Disney Junior for ruining what could have been a great event - surely someone could have thrown a character outfit and made an appearance?
