THE Peace Centre is giving people the chance to win up to £25,000 in a new fundraising lottery.
Players pay £1 a week for a unique six-digit number with winning numbers selected at random every Saturday.
For every pound players spend, 50p goes towards The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace work supporting victims of terrorism.
Nick Taylor, chief executive of the Foundation for Peace, said: "Although many people may not think that terrorism is a direct threat to them, in the last year there were more than 8,000 terrorist incidents, meaning there is a real risk of terrorism affecting everybody.
"To keep our victims work going, we need to raise £5000 per month so we have set ourselves an ambitious target to gain 8,400 lottery subscribers to match the number of terrorist incidents in the world last year."
