THE annual ‘Dignity Action Day’ will be marked at Woolston Hall on Saturday with a Wii ten pin bowling tournament, pamper sessions and gardening activities.

The day ‘highlights the importance of dignity and respect in providing care’, whether in hospitals, care homes, in people’s own homes or through other community services.

Clr Pat Wright, the borough council’s executive board member for health and wellbeing and adult services, said: “Dignity Action Day is a reminder that dignity is everyone's business and that we all need dignity and respect the whole year round.”

A variety of events in care homes have also taken place this week with more planned.
